gatherings

Fantastic wee night of sharing, inspiration and home made roast chicken soup at the studio last night.

Special thanks to Monika Holkova for showing and discussing her recent work on the current conflict in Eastern Ukraine. Very interesting and very excited to see the work evolve and hopefully published!

It’s worth noting that Monika is a student and made this work as her first real project in her final year. Hopefully have an edit on her website soon.

Also thanks to Neil Davidson for showing some of his project on the Whitevale and Bluevale high rise flats in Glasgow. I’m very keen to see this project finely edited and hopefully shown within the community they were taken. Neil is a stills photographer on film sets and undertook this project off his own back a few years ago. You can see his work here.

As tongues wagged and the night drew on Robert Burns showed a few images from his upcoming exhibition from his travels in Ukraine. The exhibition will be shown at the Hidden Lane Gallery in Glasgow soon….not actually sure when – hopefully Robert will send me an invite and I can let you know 🙂

I hope all found the evening to be inspirational and uplifting. I did – and am looking forward to the next gathering at WASPS South Block.
